I have been researching and around the SPS technology since 1983 and
I am ready to make this happen. The major stumbling block has
always been money, but there is a way to get the money. I worked
with a guy from Princeton who said it would take a couple hundred
billion dollars. So I loaded up my transport and went to NY, Wall
Street that is, to find out how to get it. I found out and went on
to look for the requirements needed for funding. I found them.

The only real obstacle left is the political will. I spoke with
Neil Armstrong in 1995 and he said it must be done from the top
down, so I loaded up my transportation and moved to DC to find a way
to make the politics happen. I have been in DC for the last 8 years
trying to understand politicians and politics. Still have my
doubts but I have a pretty good graps on how to make it happen.

9/11 was a tragedy just like 12/7 (Pearl Harbor) but both opened an
opportunity to galvanize Americans and made things happen that never
could under normal circumstances. There is now a window of
opportunity to make SPSs happen which may never come again and I am
ready to make it happen. But it must be done from a UNITED front.
So if you are ready to make it happen then let's do it.

Yesterday I spoke with the under-Secretary of Energy. She will give
a brief I wrote to the Secretary of Energy Friday. The ball is
rolling but it won't happen without a lot of effort from people who
know this technology and the "space communitee" well.
