Description

Southern Maine Astronomers is a non-profit organization dedicated to public outreach, awareness and education in the area of astronomy. We also provide access to advanced astronomical equipment and mentoring to students and the public who are interested in astronomy. We hold periodic public star parties where naked eye viewing and telescopic viewing will take place, with the support of trained volunteers.

This is a forum where members of this group can post messages or images, share ideas, and to ask questions of other members. This forum also serves as the official means of communication for SMA.

Everyone is welcome to join pending moderator approval. Any abusive or other improper use of this forum may result in the removal of that individual from this forum.

M27 in Hydrogen alpha
Hello group - only one day of imaging in the last 5 weeks! Ugh. But, as Paul pointed out the last day was a good one. This is M27 taken with a 5nm Hydrogen

I finally made it out and got some viewing in. I have to say it was fantastic for a change. No turbulence and clarity was unbelievable. Thanks for the heads
