Suborbital Flights - SpaceShipTwo and Orion Spacecraft   Message List

Hi Everyone,

The other day Virgin Galactic unveiled a full-size model of the
interior of SpaceShipTwo and I decided to make a page on SS2. One
things I don't like doing is spending ages writing a page and in a
few months the info is extinct. So with SpaceShipTwo page I have
waited about 2 years and here it is below for you to read.

What I am really looking forward to is SpaceShipThree (SS3), an
orbital version. The sooner that is achieved the better. How much
would it cost private enterprise to develop it? Less than a billion
dollars? If that was the case, should NASA buy a few SS3's?

Is NASA's Orion Spacecraft the way to go? Apollo on Steriods? Are we
repeating history? It will be launched on a new rocket based on a
Space Shuttle Booster and it called Ares-I.
