President Bush made a pretty ambituos announcement the other day
concerning man on the moon and eventually a manned mission to Mars. I
believe he is just blowing smoke because we do not seem to have any
viable designs in the works for a replacement for the inadequate
shuttle or for a lunar based station. I am an engineer who has worked
in aviation R&D projects for quite some time. It takes years just to
get a drawing to become a prototype for testing, remember how long it
took for the present shuttle. What gives, any takers?
