A discussion group on schiefspieglers, Herschellian, CHiefspieglers, Yolos, off-axis Newtonians and other such scopes.


I was going through my stash of pyrex mirrors and found a 4.25 inch mirror that could be converted into a cute little F/5.7 Chief. It would be a short little thing. It uses 2 off-the-shelf lenses from OptoSigma.

16 INCH F 10.3 SUPER CHIEF
ED and I are making a 16 f 10 offaxis CHief the telescope will be 8.5 ft and the EYEPIECE IS UNDER 4 FT from the primary .The primary 1 5/8 inch thick pyrex
