Hi Ed!.
I AM rebuilding the Schief! The cradle is overbuilt and thus
overweight. It's getting a far better design made from low density
structural foam and impregnated fiberglass. I'm also replacing the
material used in the secondary tube (a thermoplastic) with a superior
alternative (close tolerance phenolic)
Just so I am clear: you are of the opinion that I can use both
existing 220" mirrors in a Jones-Yolo, shorten the focal length and
increase the field of view as well?.
I'll search here for details. If I can't find them, I'll send a PM
Thanks
Art

much shorter FL using off-the-shelf lenses. The downside is that
you'll have to re-make the OTA but I think you'll be happier in the
long run."
