Information on the IRIS data base
John,
Please forward this on to the group. The Iowa Rivers Information System
website is
http://maps.gis.iastate.edu/iris/
On there you can find information on all the fish species collected in
Iowa.
Also, if you go to the Maps section, then select IRIS mapper, there is a
large
amount of data available including: fish sampling locations, IOWATER sites,
and STORET sites. If you select a layer and it doesn't appear to be
displayed
you may need to zoom in. To get details (like what fish were collected in
the
survey) from these locations select the query feature button (red circle
with
the white "i". If you have any questions please let me know, and I will
try
to find the answer for you.
