Dear Khem Raj Dahal,

thank you for your message. SRI in the West of Nepal has not been
good this year for farmers without irrigation facilities. The rain
pattern was totally out of order, so they were not able to transplant
early. I had a small patch in my own garden, and that one was
reasonable, as I could add water as necessary. I cut the harvest and
it is currently drying on my roof, hope to thresh it at the weekend.
Let's see the result.

Visiting SRI sites is too late now in this season. What about
organising a meeting in KTM again, as we did in the last years? Would
ICIMOD or any other organisation in KTM be happy to host the meeting?
Let us share our views on this, also when there would be a suitable
date to do this.
