Hi Stephen! See answers below. ... For the SSL protocol, whenever you see RC4, you're dealing with a stream cipher. All other algorithms are block ciphers. ......

Of course, if you use the DSS signature algorithm and the DH key exchange algorithm (and DES based ciphers), you have no need to pay any royalties or patent...
