The Home Page Photograph: Here is a lovely example of a GEC Model 5100 Extensible PAX (Private Automatic eXchange) This particular example consists of two cabinets each of 50 lines to provide a 100 line system. It has a two-digit numbering system. It uses 4000 type selectors otherwise known as the SE50 type selector.
This particulay PAX was recovered by the Electrokinetica Museum team from St. Pancras Chambers before a massive refurbishment was carried out on the building.
