The
first South Asian IPv6 Summit is being held between January 15
to 22, 2004 in Bangalore, India. This summit co-hosts the
South Asian Network Operators Group (SANOG) workshops,
tutorials and meetings along with the two day IPv6 conference,
held annually in India. A part of the tutorials are
facilitated by the APNIC and the IPv6 Forum India is hosting
the summit. The IPv6 Forum India is a registered
not-for-profit organization in India.
This
summit marks the coming together of two important networking
groups in the
region, the SANOG and the IPv6 Forum India. With this coming
together, the groups will work in parallel to address
networking awareness, operational issues as well as user
awareness, in the region. This
eight day event is a bonanza for ISPs, Enterprise Network
personnel, developers, systems and network integrators,
consultants and systems & network
administrators. The content is rich and focused on two areas
– current operational issues as well as the near future
directions.

IPv6 related topics such as the impact of peer-to-peer

Tentative
Schedules
The
pre-conference workshops and tutorials are technical and
focused. The topics would be of great interest to the service
provider community, in addition to the general technical
community. The workshops are focused to provide a very high
take-home for service providers. For a detailed and up-to-date
