A web page is in the works detailing it, but no need to wait for that. Hit him up:
310-640-3546, modmax@....
Read that SOS review. The fellow obviously passed by the programming, as
he would have encountered cross-mod sweetness everywhere, and recommended
its use;<) Sounds like he didn't know how to defeat dynamics–it likes to hide out in
the oddest places. Ganging-up assignments on the modwheel not necessary?
That is where the fun begins. Dark age opinions yet abound in GR's skull.
Virtual synths sound as good: how can such a thing be uttered? Glass ain't
got no a@#. Virtual highs are creepy too: aliasing, "artifacting". His tone, however,
was respectful, and at times much of his content was complementary as well.
Strange though, how he is confusing that Roland "solo mode" of years back with
standard unison, and don't like no Ermagah chordz! I'm sure he passed over
my site demos now...
On the occasional, but annoying voice dropping and detuning GR/SOS "con":
As I wrote in an earlier submission to the group, we discovered that what we
suspected to be a poorly performing Motorola processor chip on the computer
board, was not at fault for the skips and slips; rather, it was a few lines of errant
code: detected and corrected a week or so b4 the review hit the presses. It is a
voice-board problem though (very sorry Analogians): microcontrollers that harbor
the evil lines–at 10 bucks a pop (sorry again) need replacing. You can replace and
install them yourselves, or send your Omega in to a charming tree-lined street in
LAX-close El Segundo, as it is a 6.5 on a scale of 10 re. difficulty to modify. The
latter approach will include calibration, and the two SNAPPIFICATION "envelope
speed caps" can be thrown into the mix as well.
All in Omega Happiness Cost: $249.00, not including s&h.
I'm late on the SE-1X posting, I know,
but it my assistant has never been hired... should get that up by the 23rd.

Can anyone tell me where to find details of the snappification mod, as I
gather it's about to be made available for Omega's as well, along with a new
OS.
Can't find any info on the website.
