Hello everyone! I just thought that I would go ahead & repost this
here for everyone to enjoy! I hope that this information will be
helpful for anyone who may Not know what to do when theiy see a
UFO. :D

If you should happen to have an encounter with a UFO, the following
guidelines will provide help.....

--------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Remain calm and don't panic.


2. Do NOT attempt to approach the craft if it is on the ground

or hovering at a low altitude. There have been many cases

in which witnesses have heat and/or radiation burns from

approaching too close to a craft.


3. Do NOT attempt to make contact with any of the craft's

occupants. Your intentions may be mistaken as an act of

hostility.


4. REPORT YOUR SIGHTING. By all means report what you have

seen, but don't bother reporting it to the Air Force, the

FBI, or local Police. These organizations maintain there

are no UFO's and as such will simply file your report away.


Instead report your sighting to a UFO organization such as

CUFON, UFORN, MUFON, CAUS, or any of a dozen other UFO

groups. Chances are these organizations will send a "field

investigator" to personally sit down with you and discuss

your sighting.


5. If possible, take a picture of the craft with a camera.

DON'T use a flash.


A flash on an ordinary camera is only good for about 20

feet and all you will accomplish is letting the UFO know

exactly where you are (if it didn't know already.)


6. Note if possible the exact time of the sighting. This will

aid in determining the duration of the sighting. Also look

around for familiar objects that you can use to estimate

the size of the craft.


7. Notice if possible any unusual colors or shape of the

craft, did the craft produce any sound and if so what was

it.


8. Notice if possible any related effects caused by the craft,

i.e. electrical malfunctions of electronic devices (car

ignition, radios, etc). Look for ground effects such as

dust being blown about beneath the craft.


9. After the craft has left look for any "Traces."

A trace would be any physical sign the craft was there,


i.e. flattened grass, unusual soil patterns etc.


DON'T TOUCH ANY AREA THAT HAS SIGNS OF BEING A TRACE, leave

that to the UFOlogist.


10. As quickly as possible write down exactly what you saw or

dictate it into a tape recorder.


As time passes the memory of exact detail may fade.

         ** THE TEN MOST COMPELLING UFO CASES IN HISTORY -
                        in order of compellingness(?) **

     1. "Hudson Valley," or the Westchester Wing, NY 1984
     Thousands of reports, mostly nocturnal, of large, silent, hovering
     object with series of rotating lights. Reports came from many
highly
     credible individuals including meteorologists, news reporters, and
     police chiefs. "Planes in formation" theory still in contention;
     however, videos taken by area resident of both the object and a
     formation of planes shows distinct differences. Intermittent
sightings
     to this day.

     2. "Cash/Landrum", outside Houston, TX 1979
     Two ladies and 5-year-old boy report diamond-shaped object
belching
     fire from beneath, surrounded by CH-47-style helicopters. Soon
after
     sighting, all three suffered strange maladies which were likened
to
     radiation poisoning. Klass explains as hoax, saying that the
witness'
     pre-sighting medical conditions were not released to him for
     examination.

     3. "Roswell Incident," outside Corona, NM 1947
     Object crashed in remote location on a large ranch in early July,
1947.
     Debris recovered by AAF, who issued hasty press release
saying "Flying
     Disk" had been recovered. Press release retracted the next day,
and
     press conference held at which it was revealed the object was, in
fact,
     a Rawin sonde (a device used to calibrate radar). 30 years later,
AF
     intelligence officer Maj. J. Marcel claimed that the object
was "not of
     this earth", that the press conference was a sham. Interviews
with over
     150 witnesses reinforce anomalous nature of object.

     4. "Army Helicopter", Mansfield, OH 1974
     Four National Guardsman aboard Bell UH-1H chopper report sighting
     large nocturnal object on collision course. Pilot-in-Command Capt.
     Coyne puts chopper in descent mode. Object stops in front of
chopper,
     then continues westward travel, after which Coyne discovers that
     chopper actually rose 2000 ft. Klass' explanation of a bolide is
not
     supported by testimony, circumstances, or scientific principles.

     5. "Bentwaters," Rendlesham Forest, UK 1979
     Three separate sightings of anomalous lights near a NORAD base in
the
     UK. Official report filed by deputy base commander, who also
taped the
     on-site investigation carried out by Air Police detachment.
Occurence
     produced many witnesses, some of whom swear a craft was sighted.
Invest-
     igation hampered by conflicting testimony, Britain's Secrets Act,
grand-
     standing by one less than credible witness, and possibly
the "Control
     Group" -- A US Senator began looking into the affair, but
abruptly halted
     and would not communicate further with UFO researchers.

     6. "Washington Invasion," Washington, DC 1952
     Several fast-moving objects appear on radarscopes at three
separate
     installations, including Andrews AFB. Interceptors scrambled, but
don't
     find anything. Same thing happens the next night, this time
objects
     confirmed by ground observers. Largest peace-time press
conference in
     govt. history called to explain to reporters that radar traces
were
     caused by thermal inversions, despite absence of proper weather
     conditions on the nights in question.

     7. "Great Falls Film", Great Falls, MN 1954
     Little League baseball coach films two objects streaking across
sky
     near an AFB. Original explanation was that objects were F-100s on
     approach to AFB, but photo-analysis shows objects to be
travelling much
     too fast.


     8. "Trent Photo", McMinnville, OR 1950
     Actually two photos taken by farmer with Polaroid camera, depict
     classic domed saucer. Foreground objects provide good references
for
     analysis, which shows object to be around 30 ft. diameter, and at
least
     1/4 mile distant. Shadows on foreground structure may be
inconsistent
     with time of day provided by photographer; however, that is
immaterial
     to analysis of the image's size and distance.

     9. "Travis Walton," Snowflake, AZ 1974
     Five woodcutters allegedly witness abduction of their comrade
aboard
     UFO. Abductee reappears five days later, fails first lie detector,
     after which he and four other witnesses pass, one is inconclusive.
     Controversy surrounds suppression of first lie detector results.

     10. "My wife's sighting," Fountain Hills, AZ 1989
     My wife and another witness, a friend of mine, stood in my
backyard
     about 1AM and witnessed a large, silent, hovering object with
bright,
     multi-colored lights that strobed in a diamond-shaped pattern. The
     object then took off to the northeast and vanished in less than a
     second. (Where was I? ASLEEP, DAMMIT!) Interviewed separately,
     witnesses gave basically the same description. Cursory check with
area
     airports, AFBs yielded no clues.

A Silver Cross Haunted Necklace Bought In Florida

Hi Brian, I have a couple of short stories, of times when I was
spooked.

In the late sixties I traveled down to Florida with my friend and her
family to a town north of Daytona. We were there about a week, and
though the time there was totally Florida, beach, sun and sand, I did
buy a silver cross necklace with small turquoise stones from a booth
in a mall.


At home in Toronto, I began to notice when I wore the necklace that I
did not like how it felt. I could not explain that even if it was
pretty, it felt awful to wear.

One night I woke up with the necklace being pulled outward from my
neck pinching the back of my neck, which woke me up. I thought in my
sleepy mind that the necklace shouldn't be doing this, waving around
and being pulled as though someone was trying to take it off me. I
went back to sleep.


The next morning I woke with a start remembering what happened, and
took it off. I placed it on my dresser, wondering now what I was
going to do about this.

When I got home from school, I went to look for it, and it had
disappeared. I asked my mother if she had seen it during the day and,
of course, she said no. I never found it. I was grateful about that.

Ghost Encounter Leaves Witness In A Sense Of Panic

In the late seventies, I went to visit a friend who I found was
unconsciously attracted to haunted places as this was the third place
that she had picked out that she was afraid of being in.

As I went up the stairs to the porch of her place the last three
stairs before the landing I felt a wave of panic, and the feeling
that I was falling through the stairs. She agreed that was the place
that she felt the same thing. Going down the stairs was difficult
also. The same three stairs now at the top of the stairway felt like
they were giving way, a sense of panic and I grabbed the railing.

It was as though there was a specific event trapped there, but we
never figured it out.

She was really spooked about this as the last place she lived in had
a ghost that I met one night when I stayed in her living room.

I had just turned out the light, when beside my left hand I felt a
very cold spot, that had a sinister feel to it. This cold area seemed
to be watching me and sent me some very uncomfortable feelings.

I did not do much as I was stiff with fear myself, and time seemed to
slow down as the cold area hovered there and I couldn't move. I think
I said "Go away, leave me alone" and turned away from it. For a
moment I wondered if I did the right thing, as it seemed angry and
colder, but suddenly it went away, maybe to go upstairs and haunt her.

The house she rented after I told her to get rid of the ghost
herself. I wasn't going to her places anymore.

Southern British Columbia, A Ghostly Apparition

I had found an eagle feather when I was living in the southern part
of BC. I put it on the coffee table with a crystal, and it not only
looked good, I could pick it up and feel it whenever I had the urge.
The eagle feather, I read, was a sacred object and was to be treated
in this way.

It stayed there, with the crystal for a week before I had an event.
It had been raining all day, so not being able to keep my eyes open
anymore I went to bed.

Sometime later, I awoke to find the feather touching my face and then
receding away and then touching my face again. I could see this
because of the lightening outside. There also seemed to be an outline
of a hand holding the feather.

Again, I only wondered what the feather was doing and fell fast
asleep. Come morning I ran into the living room and the feather was
there. I pondered this, but put the crystal on it so it could not fly
into my room again.

I still have that feather today. It has a special meaning now.

Vancouver , B.C. Haunting Story From 1955 to 1958 (But Solved)

Hi Brian, Your query re. Ghost Stories brought to mind something that
happened to me a long time back. From 1955 to 1958 I delivered the
Vancouver Sun newspaper from 41st and Oak north to 32nd. Oak to
Laurel. This was in the city of Vancouver for those who don't know.
Vancouver in the 50's was still only partially built up with houses
and large blocks were still covered with second growth forest. At
that time the area bounded by Oak St. to Laurel St. and from 37th.
Ave. north to 33rd. Ave. was part of Langara Golf course. Later it
was made into a High School. Around the outside perimeter of the Golf
course was a band of trees. I believe with the intent to keep flying
golf balls from flying across the street and striking the houses and
a few pedestrians. There was one strip about midway up the driving
range where there was a gap in the trees and several hundred feet of
long grass dividing the course from the street and if it was a nice
day I would often sit and watch the golfers and make a note of where
their balls landed.

I would sit and watch as they hunted in the grass for their balls
getting more and more frustrated. Finally I would get up and go and
locate it for them this would always be rewarded, usually 25 cents
which was a lot of money in those days. Some days I might take in two
or three dollars which was a lot more than I got for delivering the
paper. During the day I loved the area, but once each month I had to
go back at night when I had to make my collections. Then those trees
around the golf course would sometimes take on an eerie and sinister
and sometimes menacing appearance, especially in the Fall and Winter
when it got dark early. That's when I would rush to try to finish my
route before it got to dark. The incident I recall took place in the
Fall of 1957, I had gotten a late start making my collections and by
the time I got as far as 33rd. it was already after 11:00 pm as I was
reminded several times by irate customers who had been gotten out of
their warm beds. Anyway that night it was really black with heavy
rain and the wind was blowing almost gale force and the racket coming
from all those trees was rather unnerving. Remember, I was just a
teenager at that time. When I reached 33rd. there was a one block
stretch with trees and bush on both sides of the road before I
reached the houses again. I would always ride my bike down the centre
of the road and do it at a good clip.

This particular night I had just reached the first of the houses when
I got the feeling someone was calling me. I turned around and saw
what appeared to be a tall slim woman all dressed in White from head
to toe like she was wearing a cloak. She was standing about ten feet
back in the bush and appeared to have one arm raised as if she was
beckoning me. It was quite dark around her but she just seemed to
glow. My first thought was she was a ghost the second the Virgin
Mary. No, I am not particularly religious, just that is what she
looked like. I only had three more blocks to collect from so I
disturbed all my remaining customers just as fast as could and then
beat a hasty retreat for home. On the way I met my brother who had
been sent out by my father to search for me as it was about midnight
by then. The next day was more of the same sort of weather and I was
rushing to get finished. I never thought about the lady until I was
already at the houses on 33rd. then I turned around and there she was
still beckoning and still glowing in the dark. I realized that she
could not even be seen when you were on the road next to her location
due to the bush and it was only when well past that there was an
opening into her little clearing.

I decided right then and there that I was going to do my route in the
reverse direction the next day so I could be there during daylight.
Luckily it cleared somewhat the next day and was still quite light
when I got there. From across the street it still looked like a
woman, but as I got closer I soon realized it was just a stump about
six feet high. Someone had peeled all the bark off of it and the
beckoning arm was just a jagged piece of the stump. As I stood there
looking at it I soon found why it appeared to glow in the dark. The
one solitary street light chose that moment to come on and the light
from it managed to penetrate the trees to hit right on that stump.
Now I knew what it was but still for the remainder of the time I
spent delivering papers in that area I would still avoid that spot
the best I could. Even knowing, it still gave me the creeps to look
back and see her calling me back.

A Haunting In Southern Ohio From 1985-86 In A Rented Home - "The
Outsiders"

Hi Brian, From 1985-86  four of us had rented a large farm house just
outside  the  limits of a small city in southern Ohio.  The house was
two stories with 15 rooms and a basement. It sat on a small hill with
plenty of acreage around it. With the exception of a home about a
quarter mile from us, we were pretty much isolated.

We had pooled our resources and rented the house sometime in the late
spring. It was almost too big even for us, but it was fun living in
the country setting for awhile.

The landlord would stop by occasionally to check up on how things
were going and collect the rent. He would always tell us a story
about this place that had been handed down from generation to
generation since the early 1860's when his grandfather had first
built it.   It was during one of  these little stories that he
mentioned the family had never rented out the place before ,and we
were the first "outsiders" to live in it.

It seems to me our "troubles" began shortly after we moved in the old
house. My guess would be about mid summer.  Two of my roommates were
out of the house that night, and that just left two of us there. It
was Friday, around 11:00 p.m.

I was reading a book, and my roommate was across the way sorting
through some things she had spread out on a table. There was suddenly
a very loud crash that seemed to originate from the basement.  It
sounded as if a wall had caved in or a very large cabinet had turned
over spilling its contents and smashing against something. That was
the first thought that came to my mind. Both of us jumped, we were so
startled by the noise.

I don't recall what each of us said to the other immediately, but I
do remember that we became concerned that someone might have broken
in through a basement door which was outside (We had one in the
hallway that also led to the basement).  I went to the window to look
down and see if I could see anything, but it was so dark outside that
it was useless.

So we decided to sit and listen for awhile. Perhaps if someone was
down there we could here them move around as the walls were thin and
not well insulated.  But after a good thirty minutes, there was not
another sound.

For some crazy reason, it had not occurred to us to call the landlord
for assistance or even the neighbors. I don't know why. But, instead,
after such a time of silence, I decided to go investigate.  When I
did get down there, much to my relief no one was there. The outside
door was locked.

But shocking to me was that fact that "nothing" was out of place. The
odd bits of furniture stored down there and bits of tools the
landlord had left were in place. Nothing fallen over on the floors.
Nothing of any size there to make that kind of thunderous, crashing
sound could be found. We did check the other rooms, but found nothing
unusual.

The idea of a "ghost" didn't come to us at that time. It was just one
of those things we scratched our heads over and said "well".

However, over the course of the year, stranger things happened.
Someone would hear footsteps at the top of the stairs when none of us
were up there.  The dog cowered one evening at something we couldn't
see right in the living room. Another time, one roommate reported a
cup flew back at her as she was picking it up. She said it was almost
as if a hand had reached underneath and pushed it back towards her.
Then two visitors, who to the best of my knowledge didn't know of the
strange occurrences, saw an apparition at the middle window
upstairs.  Another one,later in the year, who had gone into the house
while we were outside grilling steaks, came out  upset at the "loud"
noise she'd heard while in the living room. She'd thought someone had
fallen and rushed around the rooms in the vicinity to see who it was--
only to find we were all outside and just fine.

The incidences occurred over a space of a year. At some point during
all that, we decided that our "ghost" undoubtedly was a ancestor of
our landlord. Most likely upset that "outsiders" had invaded the home
that had once been exclusive to his/her family for over 100 years.

Guarantingueta, Sao Paulo, Brazil An Airline Pilot And Others Watch A
Domed Disk


Date:  May 6, 1994
Time:  3:30 a.m.

Number of witnesses: 4
Number of objects: 3
Shape of objects: Domed disk.

Full Description of event/sighting: I am an airline pilot (now
retired) and I am also a qualified meteorologist and air traffic
controller. I consider myself a very good aircraft observer. A group
of us were returning from flight simulator training in Rio deJaneiro
on the road to Sao Paulo, Brazil. We departed Rio late at night and
drove along the main highway and at about 3:15 I was sleeping in the
rear of the car which was travelling at high speed. The car was being
driven by a local chauffeur and inside it was me, an airline captain
at the time, an older flight engineer from the U.S. and my girlfriend
who was a flight attendant and a pilot also. I was awaken by my
girlfriend who pointed out a light in the sky which had been
following us for a while, according to her. It was a bright red light
in the sky and my first impression was that it was a radio antenna
obstacle light high on a mountain.

However we were travelling fast on a flat area and there were no
mountains around and the light was keeping up with us. The light was
moving erratically in a side ways and up and down motion but keeping
it's relative position to us, impossible for a stationary object. I
thought of a helicopter, but there were no position lights or strobe
visible and the light was moving in a very odd way for a helicopter.
The lights started to change from red to yellow to white, green and
even blue. This continued for at least five minutes and we slowed
down from 80-90 miles per hour to 40 and the light kept it's relative
position to us. Traffic on the highway was light, but we reached a
point where there was a bus, two or three trucks and several cars
parked on the side of the road and people were outside of their
vehicles watching the object in the sky.

It was a clear but dark a night with no moon, there was a cloud cover
but it was high probably over 10,000 feet and apparently the object
was initially flying at 3-4000 feet and a mile away from us. I asked
the driver to pull to the side of the road and I came out of the car,
followed by my girlfriend. The object was now much  lower and closer
and was hovering to the south side of the highway.

I could not hear any sound and the lights were now dimmed but still
changing colors and I could see the shape of the object to be the
familiar dome shaped object. I walked two hundred feet on the side of
the road towards the object which was hovering low, no sound came
from it and the night was absolutely still except for an occasional
vehicle passing down the road. There were several vehicles stopped on
the side of the road further down and I walked back to the car to get
a camera. I opened the trunk to get the camera but we had taken many
pictures in Rio and we had no film left. My girlfriend joined me and
we walked back towards the object which was floating three or four
hundred feet away from us, dimly lit now and probably at two hundred
feet above the ground.

Suddenly, there was a few flashes of multicolor lights from the top
of the object and a faint bluish-greenish glow showed from the bottom
part and the object started to float away quietly towards the south
gaining altitude slowly at first and then increasingly fast. When the
object started to move I felt some vibration and heard a faint low
pitch humming sound. After another multicolor light display the
object climbed straight up very fast and still silently. It changed
direction several times in a series of sharp, right angle turns and
then disappeared. While I was close to the object there was a faint
smell of ionization, not unlike that smell present in high power
radio station transmitting rooms, when they used vacuum tubes. There
was also a taste of metal in my mouth.

The cars and trucks started leaving and we climbed in the car and
drove on until we reached a truck stop restaurant further down the
road were several other witnesses who had stopped for coffee. Our
driver, who had stayed inside the car told me that there was a lot of
static in the car's radio while the object was nearby. The people at
the restaurant told us that sightings are common in that area. I also
remembered that in 1972 I was flying near the same area one night and
an airliner ahead of my airplane reported a UFO. I did not see the
object myself but listened to the radio conversation between the
airliner, the air traffic controllers and other airplanes on the area.

There was a U.S. military aircraft in the area that night in 1972 and
after landing I talked to the crew which had seen the object. The
subject never came up again after that night. In 30 years of flying
and being a control tower operator for some time, I heard many UFO
stories but had never actually seen one until that night in Brazil in
1994. Upon my return to the U.S. some weeks later, I reported this
sighting to every possible government agency and filed several
reports but never received any reply.

Additional Information:

A couple of follow up interesting facts: When I arrived in Sao Paulo
later the following morning, I did contact the civil aviation
authorities but they did not have any radar reports. This was in the
Rio-Sao Paulo highway which is probably one of the busiest highways
in Brazil connecting the two enormous cities.

A few days later I was in Asuncion, Paraguay and there was another
UFO incident which involved a couple of aircraft, including a DC-8
airliner flown by the national carrier and a small Cessna aircraft.
The DC-8 Captain, a Paraguayan Air Force Colonel, was the brother of
my best friend in Paraguay who us also a pilot. The incident was told
to me first hand and it included sightings by the airport
authorities, police, the military. The object, similar to the one I
saw in Brazil chased both airplanes in the early evening and then
hovered for a few minutes over the runway at the international
airport.

During this time I met a Paraguayan investigative reporter, Mr.
Rodriguez, a real good reporter and a great unbiased investigator. He
was a correspondent of Mexican and Spanish UFO magazines, I don't
remember which ones but he was connected with the reporter who became
a UFO investigator in Mexico. There were quite a few sightings in
Paraguay at the time (June-July 1994) and I met at least one German
Air Force (Luftwaffe) officer-pilot in Asuncion who was unofficially
looking into these incidents which happened over a lake (Ypacarai
Lake) near Asuncion.

Rodriguez told me that they had been in the site several times and
that they had actual encounters that made everyone
present believe that the objects were communicating with them somehow
and were guided by some form of intelligence. But this is second hand
information and I did not see any of this but it was an interesting
follow up to my own sighting.

Let me tell you that I am a former naval officer with experience in
ships, I have been a pilot for 42 years now, many of which I was a
long range intercontinental pilot of heavy jets. I have also studied
meteorology, astronomy and air traffic control. I had never until
that time seen anything which I could not explain.

Full Description of event/sighting: 11-16-04. On this night both the
anniversary of my fathers death and the birth of my grandfather I had
an intense UFO experience. While laying on the couch I received some
kind of message to get up, grab the binoculars and lay under my
skylight and look for movement. I remember seeing a couple flashes of
light in the star field and being frustrated. I said to myself "come
on now lets not play hide and seek" just then I spotted what looked
two saucer shaped craft at about thirty thousand feet. They were huge
I could make out lights emanating out from the edges, while coming to
grip with the fact that I am looking at real UFOs suddenly through my
field of view at about five hundred feet flew a totally silent black
triangle. I only saw it for a moment because I was looking through
the binoculars and it was so close.

At this point I put down the binoculars and went down to my mother's
apartment to tell her what's over the roof. I think she was concerned
that I was going crazy. Sitting in amazement over what I had just
seen I started to feel frightened, cotton mouth, heart racing, the
works it felt like I was being probed while sitting in that chair. My
mother calmed me down and I gained my composure back. I said to my
self no more star gazing tonight. The following night I called my
sister to talk about the event, she is a spiritual healer
(healingthehologram .com) I told her that I felt like the aliens
probed me. She told me to ask what the alien called it self the name
Ether came to my mind weird. We talked for hours till 9:00pm and I
felt much better. As I hung up the phone I looked up and out the
skylight and this time gliding at about 200 feet and 20mph rotating
slowly was another huge silent triangle, it flew directly over head
then turned 90 degrees and flew off, WOW up close and personal !

Full Description of event/sighting: I was heading in to work at the
Dolphin Mall, on the turnpike heading north between the Bird Rd toll
plaza and the SW 24 St. bridge, when I saw a beach ball sized silver
metallic ball spinning and floating over the southbound lane of the
turnpike. It was directly over traffic keeping a level height and
speed, maybe 40 feet high and 20mph. I looked around to see if any
other drivers were noticing this but nobody seemed to be paying any
attention to it. It could have been a Mylar balloon, but I have yet
to see one like it anywhere else. It looked like brushed aluminum,
not the shiny kind, more rough, not polished. Anybody else out there
seen anything like this? be it a balloon, or ?

Poza Rica Veracruz, Mexico A Shaft Of Brilliant Light From Craft

Description: This was relayed to my mother who recently returned from
Mexico.  My uncle "C" was walking around the back of his house around
9:00pm, clear skies.  A multicolored light in the sky caught his
attention. (height unknown) He stated that, "he thought God had come
to get him", because the colors were so beautiful, however when a
shaft of brilliant light engulfed him he became frightened.  He
stated he could not move when the light hit him, he stated he
was "frozen" and could not scream or yell to his nephew in the house
next door.  The sighting occurred within a span of 10 seconds and the
object then disappeared as soon as it had appeared. End.

Color/Shape: Multicolored lights described as beautiful.  UFO with
swirling lights, beautiful multicolors. Shaft of light (like spot
light) hit him and he was frozen.

Height & Speed: About the size of a bus-- but round, with lights
swirling around edges of object. Appeared in sky and disappeared
after 10 seconds.

TV/Radio/Press: No not reported.  It should be noted that my uncle
thought UFO's were nonsense. Now he does not go out after dark, he
remains frightened. It should be noted that others in the area have
reported weird lights in the area and surrounding communities. I just
thought that this incident would go unreported if I did not relay
this to you. I firmly believe if everyone would report UFO
encounters, we could perhaps get closer to discovering the reason for
the phenomenon.

North Of Salem, Virginia A Torpedo Or Cigar-Shaped Object

Date:  October 12, 2006
Time:  2:00 - 3:00 p.m. (On a beautiful clear, cloudless Autumn day).

The day was so beautiful and the light so perfect and clear that I
just had to be outside. So I went for a walk in woods near the golf
course north of Salem, VA. Returning from the woods I had to cross an
open field to get back to my car parked at the golf course. On the
way across the field the sunlight became very enchanting to me and I
decided to lie down in the grass for a while, soak up the sun, listen
to the birds chirping, etc. As I lay there (feet facing slightly
northwest), sun on my left, with my left arm raised to block out the
very bright and clear sun, I began to play with trying to "look at
the sky" to my right - north. (You can't really look at a clear sky -
there is no point of focus for your eyes to rest upon - all you
really see is an indefinitely- located blueness and after a while you
start to get Brownian dots sparking all over the place.

As I was concentrating on these sparkling Brownian dots, I was
suddenly very surprised to see a torpedo or cigar-shaped object that
just popped into the sky overhead and to the right a bit, which would
have been to the north. No wings. No sound. No contrail. Travelling
in a straight line. Light in color, maybe silverish. Long slender
body. I followed its path to the left, toward the sun, then lost it
in the glare. My first thought was that it had to be a plane of some
kind, and that its sudden appearance was a visual trick deriving from
not paying attention, or perhaps it was a plane that had just dropped
low enough in altitude to became visible.

Curious and intrigued, I looked back to the north and waited as the
Brownian dots appeared again, and another object popped into view,
same shape, same movement. It seemed to me that it appeared at the
same spot in the sky, but I couldn't be sure because I had shifted my
gaze away to follow the first one.

After that (and I still couldn't believe that these objects were just
appearing out of nowhere), I made myself steadily look at the same
spot in the sky for perhaps five minutes more, but although there
were lots of dots of light, no other objects appeared.

As I headed home, I believed I had to have been seeing planes, but
tonight, reading your latest sightings, I realized that these objects
hadn't had wings.

Could these just have been planes? I intend to do this exercise again
on another clear bright day and see what happens !

San Diego, California A Large Flash Turns The Whole Sky An Orange
Tinge

Time:  Approx: 9:00 p.m.

Message: I'm not sure exactly what I saw, but last night a little
after 9:00 p.m. in San Diego, California my friend and I were driving
southward on Carmel Country road. We were a little elevated, enough
to see the sky over the tree-line, but not high enough to see where
the light came from. Basically as we were driving there was a large
flash that turned the whole sky an orange tinge. What was strange was
that the sky was stained orange for about three seconds and then just
faded. there was no noise associated with it, and it didn't light up
the sky in the same way fireworks do so we were left fairly baffled.
If you have any explanation, or have received any other sightings
from San Diego, Ca from 10/14/06, I would appreciate a response.

Denver/Aurora, Colorado Five Points Of Red Light

Full Description of event/sighting: I was in my bedroom last night on
the computer when I heard my girlfriend say, hey, come here and check
out this UFO, quick!.  She normally makes fun of me for scanning the
sky at night and hunting for anomalous objects, so I took her pretty
seriously. So I ran out to where she was and she pointed at the sky
to a large bright light. Being familiar with my location, I
recognized the object as an airplane on its descent into DIA. At the
exact time that I told her what it was, an object came flying into
our field of view from the northwest.

It was far too low to be a plane or jet, and it had no sound coming
from it at all. It was also flying more than 3-4 times the speed of
any plane that I have seen flying around our area. It's shape was
basically a large round ball of red light, with 4 other smaller red
balls flanking it in the shape of a square. I was not sure if it was
one object or five. The shape overall looked like the 5 on a pair of
dice. It was only in our view for 3-4 seconds as it whizzed by out of
our field of view to the south. We both had no idea what it was.

HBCC UFO Research Note: I just received this letter below (October 8,
2006 - Time - 5:15 p.m.) from a person who has found circles on their
horse pasture. The ash-like material seems to have caused a bad
reaction for the person who touched it. Photos are going to be taken
and sent along to me, but in the mean time I have contacted Nancy
Talbot, Director of BLT Research who investigates circles of
different kinds and have left her a message on her answering machine.
I am just waiting to hear back from her. My request is if anyone
living in the Brooklyn/Belleville , Wisconsin has been witness to a
UFO sighting, or another unusual event over the last few weeks would
they please contact me here at HBCC UFO Research with a detailed
description of the experience.

Date:  October 8, 2006

Brian, I am writing to request information on contacts for unusual
activity in our area.  Tonight, we found 2 circles in our horse
pasture, one approximately 12-15 feet across and the other was not
quite a complete circle about 25 feet in diameter.  The smaller
circle contained 3 small piles of an ash-like substance - almost
equally spaced out in the circle.  The larger circle contained only 1
visible pile.

We have suspected "UFO" activity in on our property before, but this
really has me freaked out!  I finding this freaky, and fascinating,
so it has prompted me to at least speak out for suggestions,
opinions, etc.

Also, I rubbed the ash-like material around my fingers and within 10
minutes, I felt light-headed and my throat is "filling-up" .  The
light-headedness past within a minute or tow, but my throat still has
the full feeling.  I am also a very allergic person, so if it was
anything foreign, it would not surprise me in the least to react to
it. Any comments?

Quick/Short Ongoing Events Update: October 8, 2006

Since I have been on-line, we have had 2 flashes of bright, white
lights pass along our front windows!  They are quick and have no
specific origin.  I am not really scared, but I have to admit to some
nervous energy!!!!!  My throat has cleared and I am feeling better,
so thank you.
