Dear SVJUG Members:
As everyone know Java's Biggest Event, "JavaOne" is happening next
week (9-13th of June) at Mascone Center, San Francisco. Sun's Java User
Group division is organizing few special events explicitly for User
Groups. SVJUG has been invited for couple of event/party on June 10th.
These are really interesting events with great speakers participating,
James Gosling(Father of Java),
Jashua Bloch(Java Spec),
Craig McClanahan(Struts),
Eduardo Pelligri-Lollpart (WebServices Spec Lead)

and few others from Java Community. This would be a great chance to meet,
greet & Network with the greats of Java Community.

JavaOne Java User Group & Party

Join Duke, the Java Mascot, for a hard-core technology exchange &
underground party the first night of JavaOne, Tuesday June 10.

Technology presentations start at 6, with registration at 5:30. Tech
discussions will go on all night. Attendance is free and includes
tacos, sushi, wings, desserts etc. Give aways include books, clothing
and other SWAG. Party & DJ will start around 8:30. There will be a
no-host bar.

Featured Speakers:

Joshua Bloch, Java Platform Architect, Sun Microsystems, author of
Effective Java, and Neal Gafter, Java Compiler and Tools Technical
Lead,
Sun Microsystems, AKA "Click and Hack, the Type-It Brothers" will do
stand up Java, reveal new features of J2SE 1.5, "Tiger", and try to
stump and be stumped by the audience.

Eduardo Pelligri-Lollpart, Java Web Services Developer Pack Architect,
Distinguished Engineer, Sun Microsystems, will cover what's new in Java
Web Services and how they're good, fast, cheap and community based.

Craig McClanahan, Struts Core Developer and Specification Lead of JSR
127 JavaServer Faces, Sun Microsystems, will do a side by side
comparison of an application written using Struts and JavaServer Faces.
Watch Craig do a live development demo without a net.

On June 10, Sun will be introducing a new, collaborative
workplace for Java developers: www.java.net (formerly code-
named Montague). Populated with a variety of communities
sharing common interests, the site offers a rich set of
collaboration tools to assist Java developers in creating
new vertical and horizontal business solutions.

You are invited to attend an informal and interactive
gathering hosted by Sun Microsystems which will be held
during the week of our annual JavaOne Developer Conference
