Topic......: Test Early, Test Often - How to ensure the integrity of
your Java software using JUnit
Speaker....: Neel Kumar, Mentor, Togethersoft
The talk will focus on the need for unit testing in robust software
development. We will discuss how JUnit defines a framework to build
the test harnesses in and how the testing can be invoked. We shall
look at specific examples using Together ControlCenter, which is integrated
with JUnit.
Towards the end, we shall also discuss how this thought process can be
applied to Cactus, the testing framework for J2EE applications.
About Speaker:
Neel Kumar is a software engineer with 10 years of experience working in
C++ and Java.
He has presented at SVJUG earlier in Nov 2000 (Introduction to
Multi-threading in Java).
Currently, he works as a Mentor with Togethersoft Corporation, ensuring
successful adoption of Together ControlCenter at various client sites.
His technical interests include J2EE, Multi-threading and Testing.
Neel Kumar earned his B.S.E. in Biomedical Engineering from Univesity of
Iowa.
