I just wanted to send out a reminder about the September SWARUG meeting. It is taking place next Thursday, September 22 starting at 8:30 AM. The meeting is sponsored by CPT Global and is being held at Caremark/PCS on 9501 E Shea Blvd. in Scottsdale.
We have a very special keynote speaker lined up. Terry Purcell from the IBM Lab is a recognized performance expert and popular speaker at events like the tech conferences and IDUG. This presentation will have 3 parts;
Part 1 - Understanding the DB2 Optimizer
Part 2 – Why did the optimizer choose that access path?
Part 3 - Tuning SQL when you can't change the SQL
This is an excellent opportunity to get some very valuable free education directly from one of the experts from the DB2 Lab ... it doesn't get any better than this!
To all everyone who has already RSVPd, thank you. If you wish to attend but have not let me know, please RSVP to me ian.bjorhovde@... no later than Monday, September 19 so we make sure we have enough food and drink for everyone.
