Folks,
DB2 Universal Database for Linux, Unix and Windows V7.1 goes out of service at the end of this month (12/31/2002). To ensure continued support, bring your maintenance level up to at least V7.1 FP3, which is functionally equivalent to DB2 UDB V7.2. DB2 UDB V7.2 is supported until 3/31/2004.
Also, the SECOND support extension for Siebel customers running Siebel 2000 with DB2 UDB V6.1 is set to expire on June 30, 2003. PLEASE MAKE PLANS TO MOVE TO SIEBEL V7 AND DB2 UDB V7 BEFORE THAT TIME!
For planning purposes, you can find the end-of-service dates for DB2 Universal Database at the following locations on the web:
DB2 Universal Database for OS/390 and zOS:
http://www-3.ibm.com/software/data/db2/os390/availsum.html
DB2 Universal Database for Linux, Unix and Windows:
http://www-3.ibm.com/cgi-bin/db2www/data/db2/udb/winos2unix/support/newsletter.d2w/n20020101
DB2 Universal Database for OS/400:
http://www-912.ibm.com/supporthome.nsf/document/17623433
(actually, this appears to be the end-of-support matrix for OS/400; since DB2 UDB for OS/400 is integrated with the operating system, for now, I'm assuming that the support dates are identical)
