I've been playing around alot with the new Sub-Controls graphics
stuff and I'm really really liking it. Now i ain't no graphics artist
or anything but I'm finally feeling it's possible to take SE stuff
one step further interface wise. Cheers Jeff, jo rewl! ;)

www.majken.se/subduer.jpg <-- yay, screenshot. Now this is just part
of the interface, the part that's almost done actually.

2 osc subtractive synth with ringmod, distortion, multimode filter,
host syncable lfo's, modulation envelopes and what not.

I'll yell when she's about finished so people can start test driving
her :)

Microsoft could patent the cables that run between containers
and the containers itself.
Or the graphic keyboard, and, and, and ....

Patents are NOT about WHO had the idea first but who got the
patent first.

Scary shit.

And again only the big boys have the money to do so.

In clear, if you use a DOUBLE CLICK in your VST,
MS has the right to claim a license fee.

Cheers Rene

Microsoft is a bitch.
They have so mouch money they don't ever have to work anymore.
I don't care if they have patent for the electrons in my lamp.
Microsoft needs its ass kicked, they've went toooo far.

or you could patent the idea of patents. then whenever someone patents
something, you get scrilla... and when they get their money from their
patents, you can take a portion of that. like a pyramid scheme w/ only you
at the top heh.

called 'exscrote;' applying an excrote value to anything in commerce.. the
cool thing is that you're never left with half a chicken when your mate has
got five refrigerators, but since excrote has no innate value, the
representation of concrete objects and thoughts can be dynamised. i'm
thinking this could be a bit of right mischief, say no nore, especially when
people realise that all they really need is excrote, cos it doesn't exist.

lol and people think i'm off my donkey ass

let's have a competition to see who can pay the highest license fee for
synthedit.

hehe :-) I like that thought.

Well, the real morons in this case isn't Microsoft.
It's the weirdo's at the patent office allowing Microsoft to get away with
nonsense like that.

At least we now know who invented the doubleclick. It says it right
there...inventors Lui, Charlton E. and Blum, Jeffrey R.

Now...who did actually invent the left direction on my joystick?

...hurray.

Rune

lol - actually i have been on it for some time - used to get a compiled list
of messages, just recently switched to individual emails and ung, i know
what you mean. i signed up a while ago when i was gonna learn synthedit..
but i got distracted by other projects. am now building a modular dj app in
vb when that is done i will dive into vst/vsti development and synthedit in
earnest (in between actually making music hopefully heh)
