The ones I used have had both parallel and serial connections on
opposite ends of the body, but you're just about right. Actually, the
KY Dpt. For the Blind had its own flavor, the Walk-'n-Talk. Except for
rather strong RF leakage, they were serviceable little boxes.

I think basically the LiteTalk is a DubleTalk synth with a parallele
interface added.
they used to have an ISA card too. but who can use ISA again these days?
