Taro and Ti
Thanks for visiting Taro and Ti. This is the forum for Taro and Ti - a burgeoning website about the history, culture and use of Taro (or Kalo), Ti, Musa (banana plants), Citrus, Bamboo and numerous other exotics with a strong bent on tropical origins, even if we are growing them in temperate regions. Express emphasis is on ecologically responsible cultivation.
Discussion on the various taro's and other tropicals ranging from cultivation to harvesting and recipes is what this ohana is about. The goal is to share personal experiences, rare plant finds, info and more.
Even as a small group, we generate a lot of discussion, so if the volume of email is more than you want, set your options to "No Email" and read the archives from the web.
Photo Caption: My humble pit greenhouse kept these guys nice and cozy over the winter. This is an image of the taro side of the greenhouse. The taro and bananas and other plants in the greenhouse as well as in the beds are growing by leaps and bounds thanks to a very wet year.
