We could use about 4 people to help with the Meadows Elem School Family Science Night.  If the weather is clear we will hold a star party outside if the weather is foul then we will be inside with science activities (solar system, comets, moon, etc)

Please email or call if you can help!

Thanks!
Alice

Just a reminder, the original message is below

Thanks a million!
Alice

This Friday we have a star party outreach event at the Olympic Flight Museum.  Joe Witherspoon started this partnership several years ago and it has always been a fun event with lots of people....rain or shine!
We can start setting up around 6pm.  The have a darker spot for us behind the hanger so you will be able to drive in, unload, and then move your car back to the parking lot.

If it rains we will be inside the museum and hanger(s) with hands on activities (would love to see folk bring their scopes inside!), a scavenger hunt, and a movie.  Please let me know if you can make the event and what equipment you are bringing, I would love to make different telescopes part of the scavenger hunt.

The student have their final Jeopardy! game that night so they won't be able to help out so I will need more help from the general membership.

Don't worry if you don't have a telescope!  I could use some help with other activities not involving glass and mirrors.

Directions: 7637 A Old Highway 99 SE Olympia WA 98501

Excellent!  Thanks for the reply...how about if you bring the 6" newtonian then I can add your telescope to the scavenger hunt (there are always dobs!).  If it ends up being cloudy then I would love to have you bring your scope inside and be in charge of the "How telescopes work" section.  I'll bring the optics box for you.

See y'all Friday!
Alice

Alice,

I can attend this event, I have 3 scopes I can use a C14 with 2 types of cameras, 10" DOB, and a 6" Newt on a EQ mount.  I also have a C5 camera.  Let me know what you would like for me to do.
