TAS CLEAN WATER NETWORK
[The image - taken in June 2006 and to the right, is a creek on coupe IR056A at West Calder in the Municipality of Waratah-Wynyard in Tasmania. The Forest Practices Board has failed to take action against Forestry Tasmania claiming the creek is a mere drainage line. But the formal definition of a 'drainage line' does not fit with steep permanently wet gullies full of rainforest species.]
The Tasmanian Cleanwater Network was founded in 1993 to bring together people living in Tasmania who have concern for the remaining pristine water in Tasmania and also concern about the pollution of Tasmania's abundant stream, river and dam water through agricultural, forest and industrial chemicals. Your concern is the only requirement to join the TCN. We exist to campaign for a cessation to all forestry, agricultural, industrial and urban practices which damage our water and therefore our health. Human beings are 70% water. For our bodies to be in pristine health we need pristine water.
Let's learn, think, communicate and act for our most precious resource, our water.
