I can sympathize. Both are mistakes I've made too. The other bad one was rotating a board (as an entire group) in Eagle while panelizing, and so the text stays right side up but the board is upside down and so all of the text is rotated 180 degrees to what I had intended.
To try and protect myself from myself, I now very carefully look over my gerbers before I send them to China. Even so, I still make a couple mistakes on every board ...

I picked up my mail today which was on hold. Both sets of boards showed up. Actually they arrived yesterday but I picked them up today.
I ordered them on June 22 and they arrived July 9. So it took about 3 weeks.
I have noticed two thing so far. The reset button on the XMega board is on the back of the board. I don't know how I screwed that up. But it is a through hole part and it is symetrical. So it doesn't matter which side it goes on. The Mega164 board has the silk screen screwed up. I think I switched from proportioanal fonts to vector fonts and didn't recheck how it looks. So it is now goofy...
One board has several designs so I have to figure out a convenient way to cut those apart.
