When designing or redesigning your website, you need to already have
your vision in mind. What are you wanting to accomplish with the
website? More customers? Providing information? Advertising? Are
you wanting people to use the website as a tool, or simply as a
cash-generating outlet?




There are also other things to consider, such as layout. Do you want
a bunch of flashy, fancy graphics? Do you want bright colors? Or do
you want calm colors, and just a few graphics? Once again, it
depends
on the purpose and goal of the website. If you are wanting to grab
the user's attention, bright colors are better. If you are providing
a simple service or just giving information, a low-graphics site is
what you need.




If you overload your site needlessly with graphics and colors, you
may
actually scare customers away. You may also slow down your page load
time, which will also send customers fleeing off for another website.




It's good to know when enough is enough. It's not always in the look
- sometimes it's the content that keeps them coming back.
