Dear Colleagues,

For 10 years already we are developing efficiency products for
freelance translators and translation agencies. We have started from
Translation Office 3000 and each year we have released new products
suggested by translators.

And now we are releasing our 11th product, which for many months has
been the most awaited software by our users. It is translation memory
tool.

Meet AnyMem! :) It has a lot of features but what is main about it
is that:

1) it is user-friendly compared to other tools;
2) it is very reasonably priced compared to other tools;
3) we will continue to develop it based on your suggestions.

So it is a kind of 3 small revolutions on-demand. :)

You can download free 30-day evaluation version from
http://www.anymem.com

I will be happy to hear your opinion about this computer-assisted
translation tool and answer your questions. And you are always welcome
to write to our technical support at http://www.aithelp.com

Sincerely,
Vladimir.

Hello everybody,
I have many friends all over the world and I need to correspond constantly with
some of them using sms and email. It`s better in some of the cases to
communicate in their native languages. I have heard that the real-time
translation service is suitable for the purpose, but I`ve never useded it. I
have the intention to subscribe to such a service. Before taking any action in
this direction, I would like to have more information about everything related
to that to make the right decision. I`m expecting all kinds of comments on the
topic.
  Regrads.

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to release WinLexic 2005: GUI to Microsoft®
Glossaries for Technical Translators and Technichal Translation
Agencies. 44 languages are supported.

If you are a veteran of the translation industry you will already
be aware of the existence of the Microsoft® Glossaries.

Microsoft® Glossaries are publicly available from the
Microsoft® Corporation FTP Server and its mirrors, and provide a
wealth of information for technical translators and anyone else who
would like to be familiar with multilingual terminology used in
Microsoft® software products and use it consistently.

WinLexic already contains built-in FTP client configured to access
the Microsoft® public FTP server or its mirrors, and is able to
resume transfers. It automatically unpacks and installs glossaries and
WinLexic owners will be able to browse a nice dictionaries instead of
going through technical mambo-jumbo-guesswork. But the most
important feature of WinLexic 2005 is its quick and efficient search
through multiple glossaries at once.

More information is available at http://www.winlexic.com.

Dear colleagues,

You are welcome to download recently released freeware for
freelance translators and translation agencies: CATCount - Computer
Assisted Translation Tool for Easy Wordcount from
http://www.catcount.com.

CATCount translates complex CAT Scheme into one easy number, i.e.
CATCount. Additionally, it provides great features for printing and
export of used CAT Scheme together with original wordcounts, and
resulting CATCount. Wordcount analysis logs of Trados Translator's
Workbench are processed automatically.

While regular reporting of distinct wordcount categories (XTranslated,
Repetitions, 100%, 95%-99%, 85-94%, 75%-84%, 50%-74%) by CAT Tools
(Trados, SDLX, Deja Vu, Star Transit, etc.) is useful for analysis in
general, it is not very comfortable for accounting. CATCount takes the
solution of the problem to the next level by providing easy interface,
which can be shared between translation agencies and freelance
translators, and within translator teams.

The very concept of using single number is not new, and has been used
extensively by many translation agencies worldwide under various
names: leveraged wordcount, weighted wordcount, equivalent wordcount,
etc.

Best regards,
Vladimir.
