Although I have never tried either in wines, I have shot the bull
with a bunch of local growers that tell me that the Black Spanish
makes a good sweet wine.. Champanel on the other hand, I have no idea
about but I am also doing research.. I am getting some cuttings this
weekend and just want to know if it will be good for wine or not.. I
have heard that it is excellent for Juice and Jelly..
I myself am a red wine drinker and absolutely LOVE Mustang wine..
Mustang vines grow wild all over Texas.. The one downfall that they
have is the fact that they are big vines and take a long time to
propagate.. (At least that is what I have read).. So commercial
vineyards stay clear from them.. But man O man the wine is good.. I
just opened a bottle last night from the Poteet country Winery.. Very
good stuff..
If you get any feedback on the champanel, please share.. :)
Later,
Bryce
