Hello! New member here.

Long time lover of wine who has recently discovered the work of Thomas
Volney Munson. Turns out that his grandson I believe is a good family
friend, Dave Munson. Dave gave us a copy of T.V's biography, a great
read!

I'd like to grow some grapes and make some wine from them. I live in
University Park in Dallas. I thought this impossible at first, but
found out last week that there is a gentleman who has been growing
Chardonnay off of Inwood Road. Sells his wine to a shop in McKinney, I
believe. Anyway, I am starting from scratch and am not sure if my soil
is good, what varieties might work, etc.

Your suggestions where to start appreciated.

Thanks.

Jim Swayze
