CLIMATE STAR 2002
The European Award for Local Climate Protection Activities

The "Climate Alliance of European Cities" invites all European cities
and
municipalities to present their climate protection activities. The goal
of
the award is to document experience and successes at the local level and
to
highlight the range of potential options for action. Our award shall as
well
illustrate the diverse local benefits of active climate protection
efforts.

If your local authority can present climate protection activities within
the
context of :

- energy conservation, efficient energy conversion, use of RES
- traffic-preventing and energy-conscious settlement planning
- promotion of public transport, walking and cycling
- waste prevention, public procurement
- sustainable agriculture and forestry
- awareness raising campaigns, advice of your citizens,...

you are invited to apply for the "CLIMATE STAR" 2002.

indicated
