Hi Angela... it only seems to be the two of us on here at the moment!

I think Dan must be on holiday at the moment as he hasn't been on for
a couple of weeks at least. However, I don't recall him having been
off for a while now, I don't think the forecasters get THAT much time
off!

I'm sure the forecasters probably do some non-broadcast work at the
Weather Centre from time to time. I also remember reading somewhere
some time ago that all the forecasters get sent on Met. Office
training courses from time to time, just to give them a chance to do
some work outside the broadcast environment.

Also remember, if a forecaster isn't seen on BBC1 or News 24 for a
while, they might be busy doing shifts on BBCi, Radio 4 or BBC World.

Will be good to see Dan back on TV soon though!
