If it dims while your car is idling, the capacitor would help a lot, especially
if you are playing really "dynamic" music, with a lot of musical peaks, like
bass kicks and stuff. If it it is more continuous bass, like bass tracks with a
continous "zzzz" of bass, an extra battery would help more at idle. Alternators
don't seem to produce quite as much output when they are not turning as
fast....Hmmm maybe a more accurate regulator circuit would allow it to produce
more at idle?
Just some thoughts, I mainly just dabble in electronics, I am somewhat familiar
with DC/AC circuits. And I know that on my old car, when I bumped up the idle
to 1000 RPMS, instead of 600 RPMS, the headlights and everything would get
brighter. On my new car, I don't have that problem. So just some thoughts for
you to consider.

1 amp -> 1400 watts
