I'm trying to install Gimp 2 on a Win98 machine but it tells me it
won't install because it can't find MS San Serif 10. I looked in fonts
and it says
MS San Serif 8, 10, 12, 14, 18, 24, but when I looked at the font
itself the actual sizes go 12, 18, 24, 36, 48, 60, 72.

Same for MS Serif.

I've looked for a different version of this font, but all are identical.

What can I do to get past this?
