The 2.0 version of the Gimp has problems with nonstandard fonts...
they supposedly fixed it in the 2.01 version... if you REALLY need to
use nonstandard fonts, go for the 1.2 version of The Gimp... I use
2.0 for everything BUT fonts, and 1.2 for the rest...

I just installed GIMP and I would like to know if anyone has been able to load more fonts into GIMP and how did you do it. Thanks! :-)... 		boprouse
