Just a thought... is it the colour space...? Lightroom can be set to
use Prophoto RGB and may well ship like that as the default, photoshop
I think is set to sRGB or RGB...
Anyone got time to try this out...? Or has anyone cured it...?
Capture One opens them in great colour but a bit sharp until you
change the presets..

I do have the same problem with Lightroom that come with Mamiya ZD
purchase. I try many difference settings my own but still very strong
yellow and green cast, but PS CS3 is no problem. Can you some one can
guide me through this problem.
Thanks

Mounted on a tripod head that allows to use the body in portrait mode
causes occasionally trouble. It will say no CF card available and
would not trigger, the moment you turn to landscape, no problem. Any
similar experience ?
As a few others have reported, Lightroom's color balance is off for Mamiya
files, producing
a strong yellow-green cast that other converters do not produce. I realize I can
create a
custom Mamiya profile to deal with this, but as LIghtroom ships specifically
with the ZD,
this should not be happening. How have others dealt with this problem?
I summarized my first experiences at http://purepanorama.blogspot.com/
Lenses: Great! I love the 150mm and 55mm. 80mm seems average quality.
Just got a 24mm ULD C.
AF: I have no clue why one need AF for MF. I am not shooting sports or
wildlife.
Screen: small and very slow to review.
Quality at ISO50: Great !

hello all...
please allow me to introduce myself. my name is david cooper, a photographer in
pennsylvania, united states. i currently use an older hasselblad V96C digital
back on a
500 series camera, but have been considering an upgrade to an all-in-one
package, with
autofocus, tether-free action, and a wider variety of lenses than the old
hasselblad has to
offer (the 16 megapixel V96C crops the 6x6cm image size to slightly less than
4x4cm due
to the sensor size, greatly restricting wide-angle views.)
i've recently found out that the mamiya 645 ZD package was finally released, but
don't live
anywhere near a dealer. i'm writing to you for a quick review of it's
performance...do you
like the image quality? do you like the functionality? the navigation of the
digital back?
how does it compare to other medium format digital systems? do you like the
lenses? do
you like the autofocus? do you like the software and workflow?
the price of a new hasselblad is outrageous, and the mamiya looks really
attractive. are
you happy with your investment?
i've found very little documentation regarding this new back online, and would
like to learn
more about it. thanks for your time and help...i really appreciate it!
sincerely,
david cooper

Haven't experienced that problem before. Of course, once I put the ZD back on
the 645
body I haven't had any reason to take it off.
I'm in Dublin tonight and off to London tomorrow and then back to California on
Monday.
Have been here in Ireland for about 9 days doing a little photography.
Actually, about 5
good days in between rainy days.
Uploaded about a dozen shots on flickr site.

I attach the back (on after slide in battery) to the body (off), the
display on the back shows "ir fil" (IR Filter attached) for a while
then goes off. Afterwards body and back are in sync. I switch off the
body, the back switches off as well.
A couple of times it happened when triggering, nothing happens, even
both body and back are switched on.
I get occasionally a couple of error messages in the body display
while working with the ZD back. They are not documented. I will take
note of them, lets see if anyone of you knows more about it.
