Sonoma, I haven't gotten a reply from you
regarding the Total Recorder.
If I don't hear from you by, say, 5:00 my time,
I'll just purchase it online.
My gig starts at 6 and I need to figure out how
to use it!

Re: your question, Yes, there are free audio stream recorders but
it's been a long time since I've looked at what is available. I
use 'Total Recorder' for this purpose, and am very happy with it. I
can send you the set up program for it, it's about 1.3MB in size.
