Ever since Y2K, my messages don't seem to be hitting the old List
Server... so, anyway, sorry if you already read this...

Can anyone here provide me with a 128KOS Eprom for a Myarc 512k card? I
have everything I need except the Eprom. My 512k card has the original
Eprom.

I think everyone is missing out here, the new site will function just as
this listserver has and you do not have to have a pc to use it, I have never
seen so many resourceful people back away so quickly from a new challenge.

Tom,
You may want to post this to the TI-99 List Server also since there seems
to be a concern by Lew & John that they will not be able to access the new
list server through their TI-99/4A and Telco or Term 80.
Thanks,
Ernie

Well I thought I'd send a test post just to be safe. Without the
Listserver I guess I wont be able to keep up to date without launching
Internet Explorer. Just using my email (Outlook Express) was much
quicker and easier. Oh well, as another member said "all good
things........" I can certianly appreciate Tom's efforts, and he has a
very valid point about the duplication of lists, but I will truly miss
the simplicity of the Listserver. I really liked the messages coming to
my email and not having to go someplace else to see them. Too bad the
Listserver isn't free to operate and someone else could take it over.
Tom has put a lot of effort into a great service and I guess I'm just
sad to see it go. Just so nobody get's the wrong idea, I'm not
complaining, just expressing my thoughts. Happy new MILLENUM to all.

Look about a quarter way down on the screen. You will see a row of blue tabs
with white writing. The first two tabs are members and messages. The last
two tabs, in the same row, are vault and polls. Hope this helps.

Hi Matt,

When you're logged on to the On-line TI-99/4A User Group, just click on the
"VAULT" tab. A list of files will appear. You can click to view or feel
free to upload any files you would like to share.

Welcome aboard.

After doing some debating, I've decided it is foolish for me to maintain two list servers. This list server has been a good one, however, with the On-line TI-99/4A User Group, the need for this list server is no longer there.

eGroups.com, as part of it service, provides a list server. So rather than have a duplication of effort, I am letting the contract with The River Communications run out on February 10th.

This notice gives everyone time to get registered onto the OLUG (On-Line User Group). If anyone has any problems making the switch, please let me know.

Currently I'm allowing everyone to post to the OLUG. Whether they belong to it or not. This works the same way as does the TI99 E-Mail List Server. Except, instead of addressing your message to ti99@..., you address it to ti99-4a@eGroups.com.

A person can belong to the list server portion without going online to the web page. This will work for those who do not have access to graphical browsers.

Let me know if there are any questions.

Matt,

Select members from the toolbar on top. Go to my name, then click on
Tom@.... In the profile that is displayed is a line item "Photo."
Click on it. And what to your wondering eyes shall appear? Nope, no such
luck, just a picture of me at FW98.

Hi all,

I use the TI-99/4A for part of the newsletter and for writing
letters and documents with FunnelWeb. My wife and I still play all the
neat games the TI programmers put out. Still love the ease of using
this program. My Geneve has not been used for a while, but will be set
up again when I make room. I use the PC to Email and use the web. I am
starting to use it to do part of my newsletter.

I belong to TI-Chips of Cleveland, Ohio. We meet in the North
Royalton Cuyahoga Community Library on the third Saturday of every
month, at 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Stop by some time that you are in the
neighborhood. If you are coming to the Cleveland area, send me an
Email. I will give you directions.

I hope all TIers join this club,
				 Harry

PS Tom, thanks again for such terrific work!-)

Joe,

It's not any different than posting to the list server. Except instead of
going to ti99@..., you send it to ti99-4a@egroups.com. When you
join to group, yes, you make up a password. However, it doesn't apply to
your sending e-mail, only when you log onto the eGroup page.

This has got to be the greatest thing since sliced bread. News, talk,
graphics (This is special in that I finally got to see what Tom Wills

I'm going to post a picture of my maximum TI-99/4A system as it was set
up. It's still operational. I use it as a fun machine and a back up
system in case my Compaq Presario 1235 notebook and Windon't98 goes to
never-never land as it has done several times already. (The only thing
that bothers my TI-99/4A is dirty or loose contacts!)

I also think I'll post some pictures I have of the fabled TI-99/5.

Don't forget to vote for your choices for the Jim Peterson Achievement

Hi,

This is a request to every new member of this use group. As I would like
to make this an on-line user group, with things being as friendly as at
a normal user group meeting, I want each person to at least give their
real name when signing up. How can we be on a first name basis if we
don't know your names? You don't have to fill out the entire user
profile if you do not wish to do so, nor enter your name into the UG
phone book. It is important that we at least use our real names. We are
not a bunch of secretive hackers. We all should know each other as it
is. Please abide by this one simple request. And if you wish to add you
User Profile, please do so. The same goes for the phone book.

Tom

HI!
I had a great year collecting cartridges. I found a couple that
none have ever seen in the flesh before, like the "Gamevision

now. Which includes the Gamevision Demonstration, Gamevision Yahtzee,
Gamevision Connect Four, Gamevision Hangman, and the Gamevision Zero
Zap all sealed in their original boxes (except for the Demonstration
cartridge)! I also recieved a "Super Space III" cartridge from Bill
Moseid of DBT. The proto is assembled in an E/A case with 4 chips
sticking out of a cut hole in the plastic. Bill told me this held 64K
or memory. I sure hope 2000 will be filled with many more finds (if Y2K
dosen't hit). See everyone around!
