For all to-jbug members:

I am currently looking to fill two positions, one in Manhattan and
one in New Jersey. However, I am always looking for qualified people
that would be looking to work in this area. If anyone is interested,
but does not fit the qualifications of these two positions, please
do not hesitate to contact me for consideration for future
positions. Thank you!

-The first position is for an Open Source Architect. Needs to be
able to design a highly efficient, enterprise-class, shared open
source technology stack infrastructure with Apache, JBoss, JEMS,
ServiceMix. Must understand Service Oriented Architecture & the
migration path of redesigning legacy processes using Open Source
components. Requires key experience with Open Source Technologies
including Apache web server, Apache Service Mix, JBoss application
server, JBPM, JRules, Hibernate, Spring, POJO. Familarity with Giga
Spaces, Struts, Quartz, StAX, XFire, XmlBeans, Commons
Logging/Log4J, IBM Websphere Message Broker and MQ. Additional
familiarity with JDBC and SQL with Oracle and MySQL. Platform
experience with Red Hat Linux. Experience in designing a highly
available and scalable multi-tier infrastructure as the base build-
out for a new shared open source technology stack environment
including networking, servers, storage, and other infrastructure
services. Ability to work with and mentor the application team.
Experience in providing leadership.

-The second position is for a Project/Program Manager. Responsible
for the management of technical project(s) or program teams from
initiation through implementation, includes: planning, analysis,
design development and implementation. Provides overall direction
for establishing project requirements, priorities and deadlines.
Integrates project plans into Program Plans. Establishes roles and
responsibilities within the core program team. Allocates and
coordinates resources (staff, equipment, vendors and consultants)
across one or more projects. Manages budget for assigned project(s),
develops and monitors project/program plan(s), and adjusts resources
and priorities accordingly. Aligns business unit, technical
development and support organizations. Establishes program
communication plan across the businesses, regions, support and
technology groups. Prepares and presents progress reports for senior
management. NEED AS MANY OF THESE SKILLS AS POSSIBLE (but not all,
at least 30% of them): UNIX Infrastructure - Solaris 8, 10, Linux
Infrastructure - RedHat 7, Windows 2000 & 2003 Server, Database -
Sybase, Oracle 9i & standard, Storage - SAN, NAS DAS, Backup — EMC,
HDS, NetApps, Legato, Networking Technology - Routing, Switching,
LAN/MAN/WAN, VLAN, Mutlicast, VPN - CISCO, Market Data & Messaging —
Pub/Sub, TiBCo RV, MQ, Sonic MQ, Security — Firewalls, IDS,
Encryption, Active Directory, NDS, LDAP, Application
Servers/Middleware — JBOSS, TOMCAT, BEA Weblogic, IBM Websphere,
J2EE, Systems Management — Monitoring, Performance & Capacity
Management, Provisioning.
