Regarding scheduler - we're using org.jboss.varia.scheduler.Scheduler
But we're still at 4.0.1 version. Planning to move to the latest one shortly.

The October 2006 meeting will be held this coming Tuesday (October 3rd) at 7PM.
The location is the Rogers Communications Centre (Room RCC 359) at the corner of
Church and Gould.

This month's presentation is titled "Beyond Java there is Seaside", and the
speaker is Yanni Chiu, a seasoned software architect and consultant.

In Bruce Tate's book "Beyond Java", he mentions the Seaside Web-Application
Framework. Here's a chance to see what Seaside does, and how you'd develop code.

Seaside is a highly productive environment for building and deploying highly
interactive web-applications. The talk will explain Seaside's key
characteristics, which are: html generation framework, call/answer, and
components. These features combine to abstract away the mundane details of the
HTTP protocol, so the developer can concentrate on the business function.

We will go through the simple steps required to create a new application,
illustrate how the debugging process is simple and interactive. We will look at
SaltSpray, which is a PetStore work-alike, but "modernized" with a drag 'n drop
interface, implemented using the Scriptaculous/AJAX integration that's available
for Seaside.

Hey Folks,

Sounds like things are moving well, and I thought I'd provide a update on CAISI, our open source (OSCAR-based) software.

Our development team is working on the integrator so agencies and hospitals can update shared databases on behalf of the homeless, in real-time if possible, and improve overall care and re-integration into society.  Any advice on how to make this work while respecting the privacy and security of our clients is greatly appreciated.

Finally, if you're booking speakers and you have a spot for our IT Director, I'd be happy to arrange his availability.  Thanks for your time.

Best regards,
Vijay

Hi Colin. I would appreciate your help.

I would need a sandbox portal 2.4 with the following:
- user forums (jbug meetings, classifieds, jobs 3
forums for now or something like that).

I also would like a new theme created for our Toronto
JBUG... any ideas would be great. Also onthe main
page for everyone should be:
- RSS feeds from JBoss Blog "Matrix" site
- Google "JBOSS" RSS search feed
- Toronto Weather portlet
- Toronto JBUG news portlet (where admin can post
messages on main page for all to see)
- more to come...

If you can help set some of this up would be
appreciated. I will then pass along the configuration
and deployment to a friend of mine for his hosting of
the site.

thanks!

Well, summer is just about over (don't throw anything at me!). I was
thinking it's time we started to get rolling on planning our first
meeting in September some time.

I'm also looking for some volunteers to help run this group. We have
a local provider available to host the jboss portal for this group,
but need someone to help get it configured, deployed, etc.

Also, we are in need of speakers and ideas for speakers. If you have
any ideas, please send them to me/group. I am able to get us Jboss
core developers to come and talk as part of our next meeting. If
there is a particular product from JBoss you are interested in hearing
