There's the age old question....can you run it in SQL*Plus?

Hi All,

       When I run commands involving BITAND I get TOAD ERROR "Datatype is not supported".

select BITAND(1,2) from dual;

I am using Oracle 8i DB and have following Data Types enabled in my TOAD ( 9.0.1.8).

How can I resolve this ?

I assume BITAND applies to Oracle 8i, Oracle 9i, Oracle 10g, Oracle 11g  !!!

Your assumption may not be correct...it runs fine in my 10gR2 server/client copy of 9.7.2 Toad. I'm betting the problem lies with your Oracle client - what...

Key item to note about Toad and Oracle homes - you cannot have different connections using different homes within the same Toad execution. Only one Oracle home...
