Hi,
We are in the process of some version control changes and this is the result of some recent changes. To get TOAD 3.0 to start please go to the the TOAD application data folder, this is usually something like the following: "C:\documents and settings\user\local settings\application data\toad for sql server 3.0\". FYI, deleting this folder will restore Toad to settings just after installation, but shouldn't be necessary and only the version control settings need be deleted.
Make sure Toad is closed first. Look for a folder named "ModuleSettings" which should contain a file named "VersionControl.xml", delete this file, restart Toad. This should remove any changes made when configuring Version Control for CVS. We already have an open issue to get CVS working with the newer Version Control features that will resolve this issue when implemented.
Thank you,
Robert

Subject: [toad_mysql_beta] T.O.A.D. error when using CVS as a provider
Hi,
After installing TOAD 3.0, I tried to set up version control using the
wizard with CVS as a provider. The wizard did not complete and every
time I try to start T.O.A.D. after that it continually produces the
following message: "The path is not of a legal form" and closes. I am
running WIN XP SP2; mySQL 5.0.
