I really don't know how RemObjecst works. We will need to investigate

I have a few concerns. We are upgrading from v1.97 to v2.0 and also
changing from BDE to ADS. Changing our applications I understand how
to do, but how should I change my customers database of security info

Ok! But when can I expect to have TAstaDriver version 2.0 official release? I
need a date to tell to my customer.
I need to start delivering a new version of my application not later than march
30 2004, so for this date I need version 2.0: do you think you can help me. I
can pay version 2 in advance!

From what I've read about version 2.0, there is a new mechanism that stores
security data *LOCALLY*. I would like to know a lot more about this. I also need
to know if, for privacy reasons, can I override this behavior, continuing to
store security info on the server side and not locally.

Does the time needed to update many users with a profile (apply updates) does
require such a long time as in version 1.x.

Does exists a method for importing user's security data from an ASCII or XML
file? This is crucial, since I need to import 50 new users per week and having
an import routine would be extremely useful to me.

Many thanks
Fabio Vitale

O Componente(DBNavigator)
precisa utilizar o navegador desta forma pois caso contrário outros

Obrigado...

You should use the new component TSecurityAdmCentral. The new
component encapsulates the User Administration module.

procedure TForm1.UserManagement1Click(Sender: TObject);
begin
   SecurityAdmCentral1.Execute;
end;

Hi Jackson,

I've been using the manual for v1.9 we downloaded with a trial
version and it largely makes sense.

I haven't been able to get the User Administration module to run.
Using UsersADS1.UsersAdm; to call it, and following the steps in the
manual leading up to this. It compiles without error. At run time
clicking the button that calls the above does nothing.

We've got the ADSDriver pointing to the ADS data base. The TUsers
component points the ADS driver and has an AppKey. At design time
the TUsersReg works, you can see the components in the application.

Any ideas?

Regards, Bruce.

You will need to built your own Login Dialog (See docs and samples),
so you can fill any control you use (a TEdit, for example) with the
Windows user name.
