Marijane,

Your web browser is for sure not the problem. After installing Topincs
and modifying the Apache configuration, you need to restart your apache
(If you just installed the AMP components, a machine restart might be
wise too). You can do this by opening a cmd (with Admin rights) and
execute the following commands:

net stop apache2
net start apache2

Apache 2.2 might be an issue, because the configuration was changed from
a one file config to a multi file configuration, and i do not have any
experience with 2.2 under Windows XP. I use 2.0.59 under XP. There is
definitely a way to get it running, but it would be the easiest to
switch to the latest 2.0.x. Before you do that you can check if the
rewrite engine is on, the setenv module is enabled, and
<TOPINCS_HOME>/conf/httpd.conf is included.
