Andre,
It is Magnetwire - which means it is coated! If you look at the
windings on any transformer you see the wires touching; there is a
small amount of insulating enamel coating the wire:

You can choose different diameters and different insulating material.
I still have some Anti-Cable around, but for anyone who wants to
experiment, get some cheap magnet wire and make your own speaker cable.
