Hi,

I'm passing on this note from the Silicon Valley DITA Users group who is holding a meeting available via the Web if anyone wants to attend:

Hi DITA Organizers,

If you (or members of your group) would like to attend Robert Anderson's presentation (on Customizing Output of the DITA OT) at the Silicon Valley DITA Interest Group tomorrow (11/14) evening, here's how.

After 6:30 PST, go to
http://www.ditausers.org/elluminate
to LOGIN to our Elluminate session.

The password is video.

A similar page then invites you to JOIN the session.

To use Elluminate, you need only a computer with speakers.

If you want to ask questions, you can use chat.

If you have a microphone (a USB headset with a microphone boom will avoid echoes and other feedback), you can ask questions.

If you would prefer to listen in on the telephone conference call directly, please ask Scott Prentice for the number and access code.

Details on the meeting at http://svdig.ditamap.com

Cheers,

Bob.

I'm a newbie, so almost any topic will be new and exciting for me. In
addition to just learning the basics, I'm interested in what people
use for:
1. authoring environments (particularly any open source tools,
configurations of eclipse plug-ins, etc)
2. document repositories (again, particularly interested in open
source repositories)

Hello,

I remember talking with either or both of you last year about how we no longer use rev bars in the HTML generated from DITA source. I remember someone talking about the possibility of using stylesheets to set apart content that's changed, with a change in the background colour. Do either of you recall where this information can be found?

DITA Deployments...

Hi...

We've set up a new page at dita.xml.org that lists (or hopes to list)
DITA Deployments worldwide. As a way to jump start this list we're
emailing the contact person for each user group in hopes that you can
pass on this request to your members. If your members work for a company
or organization that has implemented DITA, we'd appreciate it if they
could add that name to the list ..

   http://dita.xml.org/deployments

If there is a publicly accessible page or document that the name can be
linked to, which describes the implementation, that would great (for
examples, see http://opendocument.xml.org/deployments). Feel free to
contact me if you have any questions.

Thanks,

...scott
