Description
Anyone interested in trees and sustainability is welcome to join this group.
The Tree Tribe aims to form a friendly kinship of people from different backgrounds to study and explore how trees can help create a sustainable society.
That can include information, thoughts, experiences and inspiration about a wide variety of activities: Helping each other identify trees, Growing trees and shrubs, Exploring and practicing all the different ways trees can be used by people: Timber, fuel, food, medicine, etc., Non-wood Forest produce: Mushrooms, Herbs, Fruits and Nuts, Leaves, Sap, Amenity, Woodland Crafts. In addition there are subjects like: Ecology, Trees and Spirituality, Campaigning for trees, etc.
It would be brilliant if we can help and inspire each other to gain a useful level of knowledge and practical skills in tree-related subjects and living sustainable.
It may even be possible in the future to create some practical educational material which can be used in schools and to inspire other people, who may not yet be so aware of the great changes needed to build a more sustainable society. Maybe there will be tribe members with artistic skills to help make well presented info sheets and booklets for download or publication, or members with a camcorder to make short films of practical tree-related skills. In the future the Tribe may choose to hold occasional gatherings to share information, inspiration and to celebrate life. We are mostly UK based and orientated, but open to members from elsewhere joining.

Re: sacred myth
The stories that you think of as myth are not "true myth" "true myth" is based on seasonal observation of life in nature. These "myths" are scientific
