Palm's Pixi commercials are totally different from its Pre
commercials. And better.

Lo,

http://www.which.co.uk/reviews-ns/palm-pre/index.jsp

"Our first look found that Pre's 3.1-inch touchscreen bright and
responsive, and general operation of the Palm Pre's key features is a breeze.

One of the most interesting points to make about the Palm Pre is its
ability to handle several applications at any one time. By pressing
the home button beneath the screen, any application that is open is
minimised so others can be opened. When several applications are
open, they can be easily sifted through with a sideways swipe of the finger."

Has anyone figured out how to dial additional numbers (such as extensions,
PINS, etc.) from the Pre?

You can use "t" and "p" to include additional numbers in a contact entry.

"t" is a timed pause, while "p" will prompt you to tap to dial the
additional digits.

So you could do:

555-555-5555tt1234 (to dial the number, wait 4 seconds, and then
dial 1234)

or

555-555-5555p1234 (to dial the number and wait until you tap to dial
1234)

Why they didn't use "," and "x" like every other self-respecting
handheld, I'll never know...

Use 'p' before the extension and after the number.

POINT, it's such a crazy experience for me, i need help flying back home,
the authorities are not being 100% supportive but the good thing is i still

I got a similar email from a colleague. If you know this person,
contact him by phone immediately. His computer has most likely been
hacked, email contacts stolen, and virus installed. He needs to clean
his computer before he infects those of his friends and acquaintances.
Respond to the email only if you want to give your money to a
dishonest stranger.

It's a scam.  People sending money simply lose their money to the person
sending the message, which is usually not the named person in the text of the
message.

Yep, had the same thing happen to me with a friend on Facebook. That was an
older woman. It's a bit more disturbing when the victim is apparently a
technical person (Network Design Engineer)!

Yep, this happened to a friend of mine about a year ago. Someone hacked his

waste of human flesh!

But, the Palm Pre is quite nice!! :-)

My email account has been HACKED!

Send NO money to ANYONE!

I am just fine, sitting in my home in Hawaii.

More later as I work to figure and straighten this all out.

Right now it looks like my Facebook account was hacked and I

Apparently Facebook security sucks.

Hey, it’s just great that you get to sit in your home in Hawaii! How nice!
Here in Colorado it’s going to be sunny and 67 tomorrow. I’m sure your
weather will be nicer, but have a nice Thanksgiving, and good luck cleaning
up the mess caused by the sub-human who hacked you!

Do you have Pre, or other Palm? How’s the reception on your carrier(s) in
Hawaii?

Happy Thanksgiving, Treo/Centro/Pro/Pre people!!!

I`m afraid that if you want to operate a `con` FIRST you must research
your `story`!

You won`t find gun crime like that in Wales or even in London! This is
NOT the wild west (of USA).

Try a new scam somewhere else.

OK, now we Brits have webOS1.3.1 and can use all patches . . . .

:-)

Where do some of these originate? How do I get them onto my system? I`m
happy with those that I find already after running WebOSQuickInstall.jar
but some I don`t see there.

:-(

Only took three days for my system to download 1.3.1

:-(

No need to Google it. If you have the WebOSQuickInstall on your desktop then you
have what you need to add Preware. It can only be add via the Desktop.

Suddenly, all of the formerly HTML rendered emails look like they used to
look on the Blackberry - all text and expanded links to images. http this
and http that. No graphics at all.

The only thing I did was install the larger text font that increases the
size of the font at the top of the screen. I took that off, and reset the
device, and still no pretty email.

Anybody have an idea?

Happy Turkey Day!

Cheers,

Don

I trolled eBay for several months to buy a backup 700P. Recently switched to my
backup. You don't *have* to buy a new phone and you don't *have* to buy from
Verizon.
