XML 2005 adds more than 30 sessions
New presentations increase breadth of information
from large companies, independent developers
ALEXANDRIA, Va., October 19, 2005 - IDEAlliance has added more than 30
late-breaking and product presentations to the XML 2005 Conference line up,
increasing the breadth of information available to attendees.
New sessions for XML 2005 range from presentations by Amazon and Yahoo!, to
perspectives and new technology talks by smaller companies and independent
developers. XML 2005, to be held November 14 -18 in Atlanta, is the largest
independent XML conference, designed for professionals who want to use XML
and related technologies to produce higher quality data, increase production
speed, and save money.
"XML technology and its effect on the corporate IT landscape are constantly
evolving," says Lauren Wood, senior technical program manager at Sun
Microsystems and XML 2005 Conference chair. "Changes are taking place in
small companies, independent offices and large corporations. These new
sessions give access to all levels of development in areas such as web
services, core technologies, and XML applications in healthcare and
networking. Attendees now have an even greater chance to take home the
technical know-how they are searching for."
Two new sessions will feature speakers from Amazon.com and Yahoo!
Amazon.com's Steve Rubican will present "Opening Up: Sharing Data and
Technology as a Growth Strategy," and Purand Darugar of Yahoo! will present
"XML, REST, and SOAP at Yahoo!" Other new topics include the integration of
XML and Java, an introduction to DITA, and new native XML support in DB2.
The addition of the new sessions rounds out the XML 2005 offerings of nearly
two dozen tutorials, more than 150 technical sessions, and nearly 20
exhibits. The current program schedule, with session descriptions, a list
of exhibitors and registration information, is available at
www.xmlconference.org.
XML 2005 is produced by IDEAlliance and is co-hosted by OASIS, W3C, WS-I,
