RE: [ts2000_users] Re: help!

Hi Everyone,

I had a similar problem once and it turned out that the document had originally been a Word 6.0/95 format but had been saved again later as an ordinary Word (2000) document. I saved it again as a Word 6.0/95 document and it was then OK. It's worth a try, good luck

Hi Anja,

The problem is exactly like Terry said.  Try the following:

- open the document in Word
- Do a Save As "RTF Document"
- Close Word

No try to open that .RTF document, you'll see that it won't work
either.  The problem is situated in the original document you
received from your client.  I even tried a complete copy and paste of
the document into a new document, but the result is the same.  I
guess their must be some part in the document that is corrupt in some
way, but I haven't found what.

I'm sorry that I could be of any more help.

To all, thanks for jumping in to help each other.  In this case, the
answer was already given by one of you (good job Terry!).

Cheers,

Jos Bailleul

Hello Anja, Check your file name. There should be a second dot used in it (XXX.SSS.rtf for instance). If so, rename your original file without the first dot...
