Re: [tscii] Re: Grantha u/U vowel signs

Dear Mr. Subramanian:

After extensive mailing list discussions on various versions,
TSCUU version 1.6 was formally launchd in early 1998. Subsequently
when some problems of rendering of third vowel "i" was observed in
many of Microsoft products, TSCII code chart was revised in 2000
to v1.7 where the position of "i" was shifted to a safer place.
Since then there has not been any further revisions-.

In order to file formal registration request for TSCII with IETF ASAP,
recently it has been decided not to get into discussions on further
revision of TSCII.

I presume you are interested in the grantha "sa" that is used to
write siva etc. This letter has been introduced recently in the latest
Unicode release version 4.1. You can download a PDF file on the Unicode
chart content to see the inclusion of three sa there:

http://www.unicode.org/charts/PDF/U0B80.pdf

The letter in question is at slot U+0BB6.
