I released tsh 3.280 this morning, and tsh 3.290 this afternoon, when I
realised I'd forgotten to update the documentation for 3.280. In the
meantime, I also included one small enhancement which should benefit
only Pacific TDs who run KOTH tournaments.
Here are the important changes:
- config player_photo_aspect_ratio lets you work with non-square ABSP photos
- config final_draw = 1 has players draw for first/second when records are
equal in the final round, even when assign_firsts is in effect
- config force_koth = n works for n > 1
- EditScores command lets you assign board numbers and spread penalties
- EXPORTRATINGS command lets you manage your own rating system locally
- GREEN command does John Green's pairings
- PRiZes command has several new features
- new RoundHandiCap and THAICASH commands support Thai Crossword prizing
- SUBMIT sends data to NASPA, not NSA, requires config director_id and
tournament_id
Here are some minor new features:
- PairMany command accepts player names for input
- ROTO command takes an optional round argument
- showRankedWallChart command
- config currency_symbol
- config rating_system = 'thai'
- config oppless_spread lets you sum your own scores without subtracting
opp scores (not a great idea)
The following commands or configuration options are now shinier:
- config no_boards
- config realm = 'absp'
- Addscore
- ABSPgrid
- ChewPair
- RATings
- RoundRATings
- ScoreBoard
- ShowPairings
- showWallChart
- STandings
- UpdatePLAYers
- USERatings
- util/mirror-ftp
At the top of my list of things to look at next are:
- an algorithm for round robin pairings that keeps players
balanced for starts and replies after every two rounds
- looking into a possible issue with late-tournament pairings
in events with a two-player final phase.
