I've just posted 3.140, followed quickly by a one-line bug fix to
kick off 3.150. Here are the change logs, with a few additional
comments in [].
3.150 Development
- Removed spurious error message from "ShowPairings", introduced in
3.140 when player photos are not found.
3.140 2006 MWMST
- "config port = 7777" enables a multiuser version with graphical user
interface in the very early stages of development. [Not much to look
at yet, but check out the sample2 directory]
- The "part-of-name1,part-of-name2" syntax introduced in 3.110 works
within "Addscore" [Should have done this years ago, it saved me a
lot of hassle during data entry]
- Added hooks to "ShowPairings" to support display of player photos
when available [Much appreciated by players at the MWMST, wish I
could make the photo database more publicly available]
- Use Term::ReadLine where available, so that you can scroll back
instead of retyping commands. [Works at least with Windows ActivePerl
and OS/X]
- Fixed a semi-obscure bug in "ChewPair" that could affect top pairings
at the end of a tournament: the primary criterion for choosing
opponents is now whether or not they can catch up to the current
leader.
- Added "SUBMIT" command to submit ratings data (currently only for NSA
ratings, others added on request) [I have not tested this live, and
would appreciate feedback]
3.130 2006 BMSC [Anand asked for it, I never heard back as to whether
or not it was actually used]
- "RoundRobin" command balances starts and replies for groups sized 2-26
- Corrected bug that might have sometimes led to incorrect assignment
of starts and replies
